MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries has launched its latest expansion, Ashes & Ascension, giving players the game’s longest campaign yet.
The expansion is available now and adds an 18-mission campaign alongside new story cinematics, ‘Mechs, variants, weapons, and Career starts.
Ashes & Ascension Adds the Longest Campaign Yet
The biggest addition in Ashes & Ascension is its new campaign. According to the developers, it is the longest campaign in MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries so far, with 18 missions to play through.
The campaign also includes new cinematics, adding more story content between the battles.
New ‘Mechs, Variants and Weapons
Ashes & Ascension also expands the game’s roster with new ‘Mechs and new variants.
Players will have additional machines to take into battle, while new weapons add more options for dealing with enemies across the campaign.
The expansion also introduces new Career starts, giving players another way to begin a MechWarrior 5 career.

The new expansion is available now on Steam. The developers have also released a launch trailer alongside the release.
