Apex Legends is bringing a darker atmosphere to Kings Canyon with the Blood Pact Event, putting players in the middle of a battle between Beasts and Demons. The event introduces faction-based abilities in Wildcard, a haunted version of Kings Canyon, and new Legend and weapon cosmetics.
Players can pledge their loyalty to either faction and complete challenges during matches to earn special Wild Cards. Each side has its own abilities, so the choice can affect how players approach fights.
Beasts and Demons Bring New Powers to Wildcard
The Blood Pact Event changes Wildcard by letting players choose between the Beasts and Demons. Players earn their faction’s Wild Cards by completing challenges during a match, with objectives such as dealing enough damage or getting enough knocks.
The Beasts faction focuses on fast movement and quicker combat actions. Its bonuses include increased melee movement speed, faster Shield Cell use, quicker weapon switching, and temporary critical hits when reloading.
The Demons faction takes a different approach, giving players faster ability recharge, high-tier shields, and the ability to fully recharge their shields with a single Shield Cell.
Both factions have different strengths, giving players a choice between aggressive movement and stronger defensive options during Wildcard matches.
Haunted Kings Canyon Returns With New Surprises
Kings Canyon gets a spooky makeover for the Blood Pact Event. Random fog can roll across the map, reducing visibility and making it harder to track enemy squads from a distance.
Players will also find haunted buildings, glowing Nessies, haunted Loot Bins, and Pumpkin-skinned EVO orbs scattered around the map.
Rev Shell Grenades are returning as well, giving players another way to track down enemies hiding in the fog. With visibility changing during matches, squads will need to pay closer attention to their surroundings.
New Blood Pact Skins for Sparrow, Alter and R-99
The event also brings new cosmetics to the Blood Pact Store.
Sparrow gets a new Legend Skin inspired by 1980s werewolf designs, along with a matching Character Select Animation. Alter receives a new Legend Skin with a darker, demonic look, while the R-99 gets a new Weapon Skin.
