Battlefield 6 Season 5 is taking the fight to Las Vegas. EA has released a new gameplay trailer showing what players can expect from the upcoming Season 5: Siege of Las Vegas, including a new map, a faster Battle Royale mode, ranked competition, and a limited-time Dead Space Halloween event.
The new season is set to launch on October 13.
Area 51 Brings Battlefield 6 to Las Vegas
One of the biggest additions in Season 5 is Area 51, a new Battlefield 6 map set around the classified military location.
The season’s story brings the war to the Las Vegas Strip, with players fighting to protect highly classified secrets hidden inside Area 51.
The gameplay trailer gives a look at the new battlefield and the large-scale combat players can expect when Season 5 goes live.
Rapid Royale Introduces Faster Battle Royale Matches
REDSEC is also getting a new Battle Royale mode called Rapid Royale.
The developers describe it as the fastest and most aggressive Battle Royale yet, giving players a more intense version of the mode.
Season 5 will also mark the official launch of Ranked BR, giving Battle Royale players a competitive progression system to climb through.
Open Series Competition Comes to REDSEC
Players looking for another competitive option will also get the new Open Series Competition.
The system gives REDSEC players another way to compete and climb the ranks during Season 5.
More details are expected as the season gets closer to launch.
Dead Space Halloween Event Adds a New PvE Experience
Season 5 will also bring a Halloween crossover with Dead Space.
The limited-time event introduces a mysterious artifact that threatens to corrupt the world. Players will be able to take part in a new PvE experience built around the event.
The Dead Space event adds a darker tone to the season alongside the regular Battlefield 6 and REDSEC content.
New Weapons and Hardware Are Coming
The Siege of Las Vegas update will also add new weapons and hardware.
These additions will join the new Area 51 map, Rapid Royale, Ranked BR, and seasonal events when the content launches.
Battlefield 6 Season 5 is scheduled to go live on October 13, with the new gameplay trailer giving players an early look at the Las Vegas setting and the content coming with the update.
