AI: The Somnium Files is a sci-fi murder mystery game centered around Detective Kaname Date, who is on the hunt for a cunning serial killer. Set in the future Tokyo, Kaname Date is tasked with solving a mysterious case where he must investigate not only crime scenes but also delve into the realm of dreams.

The story is written by Kotaro Uchikoshi, the director of the Zero Escape series, and the character design is done by Yusuke Kozaki, known for his work on NO MORE HEROES and the Fire Emblem series. The game combines suspense, thriller, and neo-noir elements, taking it to a whole new level.

The story begins on a rainy night when a woman’s body is found at an abandoned theme park, mounted on a merry-go-round horse. Her left eye has been gouged out, and she has been brutally stabbed. When Kaname Date arrives at the scene, he recognizes the woman. Suddenly, he hears a strange noise, and when he breaks into the merry-go-round’s central column, he finds a young girl holding a bloody ice pick.

The game is filled with twists that keep you on the edge of your seat, and with over 30 hours of gameplay and multiple endings, every decision you make impacts the story in surprising ways.

In this game, you enter the world of dreams to solve complex puzzles, where every minute counts.
Each dream scene has a 6-minute time limit, so you must make every second count.
