AI: The Somnium Files is a sci-fi murder mystery game centered around Detective Kaname Date, who is on the hunt for a cunning serial killer. The story begins on a rainy night when a woman’s body is found at an abandoned theme park, mounted on a merry-go-round horse. Her left eye has been gouged out, and she has been brutally stabbed. When Kaname Date arrives at the scene, he recognizes the woman. Suddenly, he hears a strange noise, and when he breaks into the merry-go-round’s central column, he finds a young girl holding a bloody ice pick.
The game is filled with twists that keep you on the edge of your seat, and with over 30 hours of gameplay and multiple endings, every decision you make impacts the story in surprising ways.
