It has been a month since Embark Studios released ARC Raiders, and surprisingly, the game is still maintaining its top popularity on Steam. Data from SteamDB shows that in the 30 days following its launch, ARC Raiders not only remained one of the most played games on Steam but also secured a strong position among the top-selling and highly wishlisted titles.
When ARC Raiders launched on October 30, 2025, there was already a lot of excitement among gamers. However, few could have predicted that the game would become such a massive hit. Just a few days after launch, its active player count surpassed Battlefield 6, and even the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 did not affect the game’s momentum. The game is truly setting a new trend, especially since extraction shooters have historically been a niche genre, which is slowly gaining more popularity.
Player counts on Steam don’t tell the whole story, especially for a cross-platform game like ARC Raiders, but they do provide a clear picture of the game’s immense popularity. Looking at the first month’s data, the game reached its peak performance on November 16, with active players reaching 481,966. Earlier, on November 9, it already had 460,858 players, clearly showing that interest in the game remained consistently high after launch.
According to SteamDB, the most popular time to play ARC Raiders is every Sunday, with weekly peaks usually occurring around 20:00 and 21:00 UTC. Just a few days after release, on November 2, the game achieved its first peak of 354,836 players on Steam. The following Sunday saw this number rise by nearly 30% to 460,858. November 16, 2025, marked the game’s biggest day yet, reaching an all-time high peak of 481,966 players. The next Sunday, the peak was 449,369, only about 7% lower, yet still nearly 27% higher than the first peak.
Even a month after launch, ARC Raiders ranks #3 among Steam’s top sellers. Technically, it could even be considered #2, just behind Counter-Strike 2, while the top seller remains the Steam Deck. Its daily player counts have consistently exceeded those of Battlefield 6, with a daily average of around 367,000 players compared to Battlefield 6’s 220,000. This clearly shows that players are still engaged with the game, and with upcoming updates and new content, these numbers could rise even beyond the peaks already achieved.
Another reason ARC Raiders continues to attract players is its core gameplay loop, which remains satisfying even after repeated playthroughs. The game’s physics-based feedback, immersive atmosphere, iconic audio design, solo matchmaking, and uncommon accessibility for the genre all contribute to its long-term popularity.
There’s plenty to do in the game thanks to its live-service structure. Players can complete quests, prepare for the Expedition wipe on December 21, participate in live events, rank up in Trials, and complete the Raider Deck to earn free cosmetics and Raider Tokens to spend in the store. Even though some players have already completed most or all of these activities, more content is just around the corner.
ARC Raiders continues to make an impact on Steam’s top charts, and it’s likely the game will remain among the platform’s most notable titles. Its upcoming Cold Snap update will bring a substantial package of new content, including a snow-themed map, a limited-time event called Flickering Flames, new quests, and a new Raider Deck.
Needless to say, players will have plenty of fresh reasons to jump back into the game soon. Additionally, Embark’s long-term vision extends well beyond 2025, as the studio has confirmed that content updates will continue through 2026, with no fixed seasonal schedule—updates will release as soon as they are ready. In other words, ARC Raiders’ one-month reign on Steam may just be the beginning.
