  • Exclusive moves and boosted shiny chances could make this event highly valuable for players.
  • Pokemon GO is expected to play a major role in Pokemon’s 30th anniversary celebrations.

A new leak related to Pokemon GO has sparked excitement among fans, suggesting that the classic Pokemon Vulpix may be featured in February’s Community Day. As 2026 begins, Pokemon GO has maintained strong momentum with consecutive events, and February now appears set to be another highlight.

The year already kicked off with a Community Day Classic featuring Piplup, while Grookey is confirmed for January’s main Community Day. Alongside these events, the game has introduced new Pokemon and shiny variants, keeping players actively engaged.

At the start of 2026, Pokemon GO launched the Pinch Perfect event, adding the Gen 9 Pokemon Klawf and debuting Shiny Dhelmise. This was followed by confirmation that Shiny Fidough will arrive on January 20 during the Precious Pals event. Now, leaks are offering an early look at one of February’s biggest events.

As previously leaked, Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix will be the featured Pokémon for February's Community Day.

According to information shared by a well-known Pokemon GO dataminer group, February’s Community Day may feature both Kanto Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix. During the event, evolving Vulpix into Ninetales is expected to grant exclusive moves, with Kanto Ninetales potentially receiving Energy Ball and Alolan Ninetales learning Chilling Water. While the exact date has not been revealed, Community Days usually take place in the middle or toward the end of the month.

If confirmed, this would mark the first time Vulpix has received its own dedicated Community Day. Players can expect extended effects for Incense and Lure Modules, along with increased shiny rates for both versions of Vulpix. Notably, Vulpix was previously part of a Community Day poll in 2020 but lost to Rhyhorn.

Looking ahead, Pokemon GO appears to have major plans throughout 2026 as the Pokemon franchise prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Past leaks have hinted at the arrival of Gen 9 legendary Pokemon and additional Mega Evolutions. With The Pokemon Company calling 2026 the franchise’s “best year yet,” Pokemon GO players have plenty to look forward to in the months ahead.
