Painkiller: Hell & Damnation is a modern remake and reimagining of the original Painkiller and its expansion Battle Out of Hell. The result is a brutal, fast-paced experience that stays true to its old-school roots while looking and feeling more intense than ever.
The game follows the story of Daniel Garner, a man stuck in Purgatory, the violent and horrifying space between Heaven and Hell. To be reunited with his wife, Daniel must serve Death and fight through swarms of demonic enemies. Along the way, he uncovers shocking truths about the afterlife and his own destiny.
The gameplay is pure high-octane action, with no cover systems, regenerating health, or hand-holding. It’s all about reflexes, speed, and firepower. Players will face off against over 30 types of demonic monsters, each more twisted and deadly than the last, across 15 blood-soaked levels, including massive environments and four brutal boss fights. There’s also a special Halloween-themed level packed with spooky visuals and surprises.
