Fortnite has once again surprised everyone! As the annual Fortnitemares 2025 event draws near, Epic Games has teased three exciting horror crossovers — Scream’s Ghostface, the R.E.P.O. survival horror game, and the classic cartoon Scooby-Doo gang.
These teasers have sent the entire Fortnite community into a frenzy. The game is currently in Chapter 6, Season 4, which already featured major collaborations with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Halo. Now, with the spooky season just around the corner, Epic Games seems ready to deliver double the scares and double the fun this year.
Fortnitemares 2025 — Spooks, Skins, and Surprises
Every year, Fortnitemares transforms Fortnite into a full-blown Halloween wonderland. It’s when Epic Games drops its creepiest cosmetics, limited-time modes, and Halloween-themed challenges.
This year’s event is no different. Players received a big update on October 2, introducing the Kpop Demon Hunters crossover, but it looks like the real Fortnitemares madness will begin with the next patch on October 9.
If past years are anything to go by, fans can look forward to spooky map changes, unique rewards, and limited-time quests across battle royale modes. The event is expected to run until November 1, 2025 — meaning a full month of chills, thrills, and fun.
Reddit Teasers Have Fans Buzzing
Fortnite’s official Reddit account recently posted three mysterious teasers, each hinting at a different crossover — Scooby-Doo, R.E.P.O., and Scream.
The Scooby-Doo teaser instantly blew up online. Rumors of this crossover had been circulating for months, and now that Epic Games has finally confirmed it, fans have taken to Reddit and X (Twitter) to celebrate.
From the teaser images, it seems multiple themed skins and cosmetics are headed to the Item Shop very soon — and knowing Epic, this is probably just the beginning.
Ghostface Is Coming to the Island
Horror fans, rejoice — Ghostface from Scream is officially on his way to the Fortnite island! In one of the teasers, the iconic killer can be seen holding his signature knife, with Peely’s reflection gleaming on the blade — a chilling hint that Ghostface will appear in the Item Shop during Fortnitemares.
Another teaser shows Fortnite zombies bursting through a door as characters from R.E.P.O. flee for their lives, suggesting that R.E.P.O.-themed skins and horror emotes are also on the way.
Where’s Jason Voorhees?
While fans are loving the confirmed collaborations, one major horror legend is still missing — Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th. Rumors have long suggested that Epic Games might bring the hockey-masked killer to Fortnite, but so far, there’s been no official teaser.
Still, with Fortnitemares just kicking off, there’s plenty of time for Jason to make a surprise appearance. If he does, it could easily become one of the most memorable Fortnitemares events yet.
The Future of Fortnite Looks Bright (and a Little Spooky)
The Fortnite community is in full hype mode right now. Between teasers, rumors, and leaks, excitement is at an all-time high. Every year, Fortnitemares pushes creative boundaries — but this year, Epic Games seems to be taking things to the next level.
With so much spooky content already revealed — and even more surprises rumored to be coming — players are ready for an unforgettable Halloween season. One thing’s for sure: Fortnite isn’t just a game anymore — it’s a full seasonal experience.
