The Battle of Gettysburg took place from July 1 to July 3, 1863, in Pennsylvania. It was one of the deadliest battles of the American Civil War, with the highest number of casualties. This battle was a turning point in the war. General George Meade’s Army of the Potomac defeated General Robert E. Lee’s Confederate army, stopping their attempt to invade the North.
On the first day, the Confederate army captured the town of Gettysburg but failed to take control of the higher ground. The second day saw intense fighting at Culp’s Hill and Little Round Top. On the third day, the Confederates launched Pickett’s Charge, which ended in disaster and secured victory for Meade’s army.
This game recreates the historic battle with great accuracy. Players can experience the full three-day battle or play a “Twilight” mode focusing on key moments from the second and third days. Each day has unique battle scenarios, including Thoroughfare Gap, Furr Farm, Goose Creek, Ewell’s Chapel, and Marsh Creek.
