Age of Wonders: Planetfall is a new sci-fi strategy game made by Triumph Studios, the same team behind the popular Age of Wonders series. This time, they’ve taken their classic turn-based battles and empire-building gameplay into a futuristic space setting.
The story begins after a great galactic empire has collapsed, and now it’s your job to rebuild a future for your people. You join one of several unique groups and complete their missions using a mix of battles, diplomacy, and exploration to uncover the lost history of this broken civilization.
In the game, you can choose from different factions like the high-tech Vanguard, dinosaur-riding Amazons, or zombie-like cyborgs called the Assembly. Each group has its own style, and you’ll need to plan carefully to explore ancient ruins and survive in this strange galaxy.
Battles are turn-based, where you control customized units and fight in areas that can be destroyed during combat. You can win the game through fighting, talking with other groups, or using powerful technologies. The game has many modes, like a deep story campaign, random maps for replayability, and multiplayer options to play with friends online or on the same screen.
