In the latest Minecraft update, exciting features have been added for both wolves and armadillos. When you befriend a wolf, it’s like welcoming a new buddy into your world – always handy to have bones for those chance encounters. After taming them, many players prefer to keep their furry companions safe indoors from the game’s dangers. Now, Minecraft is leveling up the protection game by introducing wolf armor.
Similar to dyeing leather armor, you can now color wolf armor as well. This is particularly useful for those with multiple wolf pals, making it easy to distinguish each one. The armor colors are distinct from their collar colors, offering a range of customization options. Additionally, Minecraft is unveiling new fur patterns for wolves, including eight fresh designs alongside the original. These patterns are specific to certain biomes within the game.
Crafting the wolf armor requires materials from a new critter – the armadillo. These armored creatures, reminiscent of anteaters, roam the savannah and badland biomes. They have a casual stroll but quickly curl into defensive balls when threats approach. Defeating an armadillo yields armadillo scutes, essential for crafting the wolf armor.
However, developers reassure players that armadillos can be brushed instead of battled, ensuring a more peaceful approach to gathering materials. Furthermore, armadillos can help fend off spiders due to their diet, which includes insects and arachnids. For those interested, spider eyes can even be used to breed armadillos and establish your very own armadillo farm.
