October 7 marked the beginning of Diablo 4’s sixth season, and with it, a plethora of exciting updates and changes. Ahead of the highly-anticipated first expansion, which has faced a brief delay, Blizzard’s RPG community has plenty to look forward to.
Creeping Hatred Questline and Realmwalkers
Season 6 introduces ‘Creeping Hatred,’ a chilling new questline tied to Mephisto’s ominous return. - Tripled drop rate for Ancestral-quality Unique items
- Increased Ancestral item drops in Nightmare Dungeons and Whispers
- Enhanced Ancestral items: guaranteed Power 800 and at least one Greater Affix
- Exclusive Greater Affixes now only appear on Ancestral items
Progression Changes and Class Updates
Significant progression changes have gone live, revamping:
- Paragon System
- Leveling
- Stats
- Difficulty levels
All classes will receive new skills and passives, poised to revolutionize gameplay and inspire innovative builds.
Exploring New Realms and Welcoming the Spiritborn
Players will venture into:
- The untamed jungle of Nahantu
- The forthcoming dungeon of Kurast
Additionally, Diablo 4 welcomes its sixth playable class, the Spiritborn, bolstered by exclusive Unique items, enhancing character customization.
Get Ready for the Vessel of Hatred Expansion
When the Vessel of Hatred expansion goes live, Diablo 4 will triple the chance of a Unique item dropping as Ancestral. This change was revealed in the developers’ livestream and will be officially implemented after the Season 6 PTR.
