Sharp-eyed Zelda enthusiasts have spotted Link hidden in newly released images of Super Nintendo World Orlando, currently under development within Universal’s Epic Universe. Although the park is still under construction, die-hard Nintendo fans are meticulously analyzing every little detail to uncover its secrets. This passion and excitement drive them to eagerly await new updates and leaked images.
The journey of Super Nintendo World began in Japan and later expanded to California, where it became a significant part of Universal Studios parks. Now, East Coast gaming fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Super Nintendo World at Universal Epic Universe Orlando, scheduled for a grand opening in May 2025. As this date approaches, newly revealed sneak peek photos have sparked fresh excitement—much like the anticipation surrounding the first park’s development.
The main highlight of the images is a massive entrance portal designed to transport visitors from the real world into Mario’s realm. However, what caught the attention of dedicated fans was a subtle yet fascinating detail: a stained glass window in the lower right corner featuring a glimpse of Link. This design strongly resembles the stained glass artwork seen in select official Nintendo Stores. This minor detail has ignited speculation among fans—could The Legend of Zelda somehow be part of Super Nintendo World?
Rumors about Zelda and Pokémon being incorporated into the Orlando park have been circulating for a while. However, it’s important to note that a single image does not confirm any major focus on Zelda, at least not initially. For now, the park’s primary attractions remain Mario and Donkey Kong. Additionally, a leaked video allegedly showed Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma touring the park’s construction site, further fueling speculation. Still, Zelda fans should manage their expectations, as any Zelda-related elements might be relatively minor at launch.
Super Nintendo World has proven to be a successful collaboration between Nintendo and Universal, with the Japanese park’s official hotels even offering Nintendo-themed amenities, such as renting out Nintendo Alarms to guests. Given this success, it is likely that Super Nintendo World will continue expanding, incorporating more of Nintendo’s iconic franchises. Interestingly, early concept plans for the park reportedly considered including Splatoon, a franchise that is particularly popular in Japan.
If Nintendo is exploring ways to integrate newer IPs, there’s a strong possibility that Zelda will eventually play a more significant role in the park’s experience—going beyond just a small stained glass window. For now, it’s just a glimpse, but who knows what surprises the future holds?
