Although there’s no official release date yet for Marvel Rivals, a fortunate set of players recently had the chance to experience it firsthand in a closed alpha trial conducted earlier this month. During this period, fans provided feedback on features such as Doctor Strange’s potent Portal ability and the faithfully replicated Spider-Sense of Spider-Man. The alpha test for Marvel Rivals also showcased various match formats, including tutorial sessions and quick matches, enabling players to dive right into the excitement.

One notable idea comes from Reddit user Lazthaswag, who proposed a Capture the Flag mode using Thanos’s Infinity Gauntlet as the “flag” teams would strive to capture and bring back to their base for points. This concept mirrors the climactic battle in 2019’s Avengers Endgame, where Earth’s heroes fought to keep the Infinity Stones away from Thanos and his army.
Other Reddit users in the comments of Lazthaswag’s post have supported the idea of using the Infinity Gauntlet in a Capture the Flag variant. Some have even suggested that the Gauntlet could grant the player holding it power boosts or special abilities, similar to its depiction in the comics and MCU films. One user proposed that individual Infinity Stones could spawn at different locations on the map, requiring players to collect them to score points.
