Jungle Getaway Update Brings New Characters and Content
The Jungle Getaway update, launched on October 9, welcomed Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King to the valley, joining Simba, Nala, and Scar. This update introduces:
- Exclusive quests
- A rock-inspired Star Path
- A collection of furniture and clothing items
Addressing Technical Issues
Although the update fulfilled a longstanding community request, it also introduced unforeseen problems, including increased lag. Gameloft promptly announced a hotfix update on October 11 via Twitter, cautioning players to allow up to two hours for the patch to roll out.
Despite significant progress since its Early Access launch in September 2022, Disney Dreamlight Valley continues to face technical challenges. Recent updates have expanded the character roster to over 40 beloved Disney figures, but introduced new frustrations:

- Furniture placement control issues
- Reward redemption crashes
To alleviate these problems, optimizations are underway to resolve visual stuttering and lag.
